The Chigiana Global Academy Program maintains the tradition of the Count Guido Chigi Saracini, founder of the Accademia Musicale Chigiana, in seeking to provide access to excellent musical education and performance opportunities to talented students from around the world.
In accordance with this goal the Accademia Chigiana is committed to fundraising initiatives that will directly support student scholarships in order to lower the cost of attendance for students who are accepted into the C-GAP programs. At this time, limited scholarship money is available for exceptionally qualified students who will be selected via the Chigiana Scholarship Application.
The C-GAP maintains affiliations with U.S. universities who are distinguished in the field of music education. Partner institutions each have a faculty member liaison whose official role is to facilitate collaboration between the university and Chigiana. Partner institutions are also committed to facilitating the availability of financial aid and university based scholarships for their students.
How to Apply

- Write a creative personal statement and email it to admissions@chigiana.org
Your creative personal statement must:
- be submitted by the March 1st deadline
- have your name clearly written in the header
- be between 300-600 words in length.
Use your statement to tell us about yourself by describing the following:
- your goals for studying abroad at the Accademia Chigiana.
- how you are uniquely qualified to receive Chigiana scholarships.
- how our funding will help you reach your stated goals.
- if applicable, your background and/or how you have overcome adversity as a traditionally under-represented student. Traditionally under-represented students in study abroad include, but are not limited to, students identifying as a racial/ethnic minority, first-generation college student, student with financial need, LGBTQ+, veteran status, and/or a student who has demonstrated a history of overcoming adversity such as a physical, mental health, or learning disability.
All application materials must be received by the March 1st deadline in order for the student to be considered eligible for a scholarship.
